2009

Come race through history at the 2010 Pensacola Double Bridge Run. The annual 15k run will start in historic downtown Pensacola, hug the waterfront, cross two bridges to the finish line at spectacular Pensacola Beach.

Prize money is awarded to the overall winners of the 15k race which attracts top runners from across the country and beyond as the 1500+ entries compete on the most scenic bridge route available. Last year’s race included the USA National 20K Champion James Carney and former Olympic husband and wife team of Mark Carroll and Amy Rudolph. Nearly half of the 9.3 USATF certified course is on bridges with spectacular views and challenging hills. A minimum pace requirement keeps the competition levels high.

If you are not up for the full 15k race, try the 5k run or walk across the Bob Sikes Bridge leading to the same finish line as the 15k race at Portofino Boardwalk, the site of the post race party and awards presentations.

Register today and book your weekend stay in America’s “First Place City,” - Pensacola, the Western Gate to the Sunshine State where thousands live the way millions wish they could, where the warmth of our community comes from not only God’s good sunshine, but from the hearts of the people who live here.*

*Vince Whibbs (1923-2006) , Pensacola Mayor Emeritus
